To maintain the charge in these batteries the rv has a converter just like a car that converts the 120 volts to 12 volts. And when you turn off your cut off switch the other dc equipment inside your rv are disonnected by ut typically not the step or the entrance light. A third problem that might be blamed on the light switch can actually caused by the light fixture itself.

You might notice this type of issue if the light bulb flickers while turned on. A wire getting loose in a terminal screw or in a wire connector at the switch or light fixture could cause the flicker. You re not quite sure what happened here as your rv lights worked just fine last night. If they can t fix it then you can get them to replace the light switch for you.
